Meet the Speaker: Sophia G. Brown, M.Ed.
Sophia G. Brown is a dedicated Literacy Specialist with a passion for serving at-risk children and their families. She holds dual bachelor's degrees in Criminal Justice and Paralegal Studies from Grambling State University and a Master’s in Education-Reading from East Texas A&M University. Currently pursuing her doctorate in Curriculum, Supervision, and Instruction-Reading, Sophia is a published author and a frequent presenter at national literacy conferences. She currently serves as a Dyslexia Therapist at Plano ISD, where she provides targeted reading interventions and supports educators in strengthening their literacy instruction. Through her initiatives, The Literacy Concierge and Literacy Nerd, she extends her expertise beyond the classroom by offering personalized in-home reading interventions and professional development for educators.
